@Robert — WP 2.5 does not have this bug and using the plugin will actually cause a conflict. Disable the plugin and WP should work fine by itself again.
If you still experience the problem in 2.5 it could be caused by another plugin or your web browser.

Hey Bas…

I don’t know if you know, or if you care, but bbPress (WPs forum sibling) is having a problem suspiciously like this one. After spending a day converting from SMF to phpBB to bbPress… I can’t do anything in bbPress without getting a permission error.

There are a ton of threads on the support forum but no answers… here’s one:

I don’t know if this is easy stuff for you, since you’ve already solved it once. But maybe, (hopehopehope) you can shed some light on it. If not, that’s ok too - -you already solved my WP issue!

Have you tried WP 2.5RC1 without the plugin enabled as well? I suspect the AJAX validation has been changed in this version, which could mean the plugin is no longer necessary.

Hi Bas: the fix doesn’t work on Release Canidate 1 for WP 2.5, just letting you know in case you want to get a jump on fixing the new file in case they stick with this. If they do then you’re probably going to get a lot of it “doesn’t work anymore” comments.
I can’t add new cats but I can edit them.So that’s only 50% bad! And that’s not bad.

I do not know what I would’ve done if I had not found your plugin.
Lately plugins have been destroying my sites so maybe it’s fitting that a plugin restored my ability to edit categories.
After having an ecommerce plugin chew my site up and spit it out,and downloading my image and theme content,&the sql file importing the sql file to new database and logging in only to see I wasn’t allowed to do much(ha) but yell WTF! at the screen.
I’m Paypalling you 10 bucks,your plugin is worth more but I am poor.

Thanks for your great Plugin! It helps but i have with your plugin a new problem: pings and trackbacks doesn´t work now. Do you have an idea? And: do you know, how can i solve the basic-problem an the webserver?
